Teaching English is like teaching karate :D your students need a model how to fight or perform some movements. So, before asking them to do their speaking, please give them a model. Example: Hello class, my name is Dita. I am an English teacher. I am 22 years old. 2. Checking their comprehension. Do you think your students can speak immediately after you? It can be possible, but sometimes students especially new learning-English students will be shy at the first time. So, check them out first. Example: What is my name? What am I? How old am I?
